Canela Home Health Inc. (“Canela,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy applies to https://canela.health and the contact form on this site. It does not describe how we handle health information created during care, that is addressed under HIPAA and our Notice of Privacy Practices (see below).
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and to keep the site working well.
- Information you give us through the contact form: your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, preferred language, and the message you write in the “How can we help?” field. We ask you not to include medical details, diagnoses, or treatment information in this form.
- Site analytics: limited, privacy-respecting usage data such as pages viewed and general device or browser type, used to understand how the site is used and to improve it. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles about you.
Why we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and follow up about home health services.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve this website.
- To comply with our legal obligations and to protect our rights.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, and only as needed to provide their service to us:
- Our email delivery vendor, which transmits contact-form submissions to our staff inbox.
- Our privacy-first analytics provider, which helps us measure site usage without cross-site advertising trackers.
We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signalas a valid request to opt out of any such sharing. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety, rights, or property of Canela, our clients, or the public.
How long we keep it
We keep contact-form information only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and for our reasonable business and legal record-keeping, then delete or de-identify it. Analytics data is retained on a limited schedule set with our analytics provider.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you.
- Delete personal information we have collected from you.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (note: we do not engage in such selling or sharing).
- Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights.

Children’s privacy
This website is intended for adults arranging care. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
How we protect your information
We serve this website over an encrypted connection (TLS/HTTPS) and take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Health information and HIPAA
Health information collected during the course of care is not governed by this website policy. Once Canela is operating as a HIPAA covered entity, such information is protected health information handled under HIPAA and described in ourNotice of Privacy Practices. Please do not send medical details through the website contact form.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
